A very important 18th century Louis XVI lyre form clock in ormolu and careers marble. The floral gilt metal crest is flanked by eagle heads above a bead mounted lyre form body mounted on a statuary marble base. The movement is of the highest quality and incorporates both a second hand and a calendar with a sounding strike. A nearly identical model is in the Pavlosk Palace, Russia.
