|Title:||A Fine Pair of English Andirons|
|Size:||H 25.5in x W 12.5in x D 22in|
A pair of Chippendale, bell metal engraved andirons with urn finials over obelisk shaped plinths on cabriole legs with ball and claw feet. The log stops mimic the shafts on forged billet bars. Initially thought to be of Charleston S.C. origin, these andirons now believed to be made in England for the Charleston and southern market. A similar pair owned by Williamsburg. Ref: Keno Auction, Jan. 2013 Lot 57.
