A walnut bureau secretary with mirrored doors and a fitted interior in the upper cabinet, over a slant lid desk with fitted interior over four banks of graduated drawers on bracket feet. The delightful use of figural bookmatched walnut throughout is charming while the use of herringbone inlay on the lid and drawers is typical of the finest cabinetwork. English, circa 1740. Hardware is replaced.
