Size: | H 31in x W 72.5in x D 36in |

Now, This is a desk! This George I-II walnut leather top desk with three cabinet doors and large central recess is of English origin and a rare survivor. The flanking cabinetsare fitted with graduated working drawers. Initially this desk floated on casters that were replaced for 19th century, shallow bracket feet. The design of this piece was intended for one person as opposed to the expected "Partner's" model. Most likely this desk was used against a wall; the back is unfinished with original pine boards. English, circa 1710-30.
