A Rare Painted Slab Table

A very rare painted slab table with cabriole legs ending in paw feet supporting a rectangular frame with ope fretwork apron on three sides. Possibly Southern, NC or SC origin. Micro-analysis of rear rail is White Pine. Traditionally this form is considered Irish by origin, but most likely made in the Colonies by a southern cabinetmaker of Irish descent. Marble replaced. American, circa 1760-80.
