A very delicate cabriole settee with mahogany carved frame. The crest is acanthus carved over an ovoid shaped backrest with gadrooned borders. The serpentine carved arms join the back to a double serpentine shaped seat on acanthus and gadrooned cabriole "French" legs ending in scrolled toes (slighlty tipped from wear). In the manner of John Cobb of England. English, circa 1780. Now upholstered in silk.
