|Title:||A Rare Pair of Corner Tables|
|Size:||H 25.5in x W 35.25in x D 23.5in|
A rare pair of corner tables with cabriole legs ending in ball and claw feet. The molded edge triangular tops are shaped to conform to serpentine shaped front friezes with applied fretwork valences and single working drawer. The lower profile of each table was probably suited to support taller lighting devices or works of art. By repute, found in the Canary Islands in the mid-nineteenth century. They are made of a colonial hardwood from the mahogany family. Possibly Portuguese in the English manner, circa 1760.
