A rare, red lacquered beechwood side chair, English, circa 1690. An identical chair, either this same chair orof a set, is pictured in "English Furniture from Gothic to Sheraton" by Herbert Cescinsky, pg. 109, top photo right. It is described as having "A Spanish framed back and foot, Portuguese bulb on front legs and stretchers, Circa 1690" Original, estate condition.
