|Title:||A Very Fine Mahogany Tilt Top Table|
|Size:||H 29in x W 31in x D 30.5in|
A very fine mahogany tilt top tea table with birdcage mechanism and scalloped edge top over a carved urn shaped shaft on three cabriole legs ending in ball and claw feet. The quality of this table is enhanced by an original patinated surface. Being made entirely of choice mahogany, regional attribution is difficult as to English or American origin. However, the turned supports on the birdcage and the molded edge of the birdcage are more indicative of American manufacture. Middle Atlantic or Southern states or English would be a proper assessment. Circa 1760.
